Hello, my name is Patrick Fallis. I’ve been personal training and coaching clients since 2008. I founded my personal training business, Leaner, in 2010.

I follow the classic story of most personal trainers: sports-mad, slightly hyperactive and an aspiring professional sportsperson. My sport of choice was cricket, which I played semi-professionally at University in Cardiff.

I had previously done cricket coaching to pay my way on my cricketing journey and transitioned to personal training after finishing university.

Initially, I chose to do personal training as it was flexible and would fit in with my cricketing lifestyle.

However, as the years went by, I grew in experience, and what drew me to stick to personal training was helping people. I know, what a cliche!

To this day, the primary motivator that gets me out of bed in the morning is knowing that I can make someone’s day just that little bit better through exercise and sometimes just being a good listener.

I’ve had the privilege to travel worldwide and look after clients I had not dreamed of when I first started. I’ve been fortunate indeed.

Through years of experience, investing heavily in education and working with hundreds of clients, I’ve developed a much more rounded approach from when I first started coaching. As with most young trainers, I expected my clients to be able to train at the same level. I was only to be disappointed, and it took a long time to see the error of my very judgemental ways.

Thankfully, today, I have years of experience that allow me to filter what will and won’t work for someone, which training philosophies work best for particular goals and how to achieve them in a way that is fun and sustainable.

I don’t subscribe to the notion that a specific formula is the best way to do things because there are usually dozens of ways to get from point A to B. I value knowing which method will work for which person at any given point.

My clients would say I’m an excellent listener, a good motivator, and someone who really does care about their well-being.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to message or email me, and I will usually come back to you the same day.
